Founded in 2012 as a vinyl-only show on a friend’s pirate radio station, Mushroom Hour Half Hour has since evolved into a unique Johannesburg-based Experimental Recording Imprint.

We keep our ears on the streets, chasing the avant-garde.

Apart from the music we record and release as a record label, we also produce (for ourselves and other organisations) live music events, podcasts, films, pop-up radio and other sound related projects.
